JYOTIRLING YATRA

Day 01 Mumbai arrival

Arrive at Mumbai and check-in a hotel for overnight stay. Day free at leisure. Afternoon visit siddhivinayak temple to seek blessings of lord ganesha before starting the pilgrimage.

Day 02 Mumbai-bhimashankar-nasiq

Drive to bhimashankar first, an ancient shrine, bhimashankara is one of the 12 jyotirlingas of shiva. It is situated  in the ghat region of the sahyadri hills. bhimashankar is also the source of the river bhima, which flows south east and merges with the Krishna river near raichur. Arrive at nasiq by late evening and stay overnight.

Day 03 Nasik-tryambakeshwar-shirdi

Today we drive from nasik to tryambakeshwar and then to shirdi. Tryambakeshwar, located in maharastra is revered as one of the 12 jyotirlinga shrines of shiva. Tryambakeshwar is the source of the river Godavari. This is an ancient shrine; however the current structure is a result of the reconstruction efforts undertaken by preshwa balaji in mid 18th century.

Day 04 Shirdi-aurangabad

In shirdi, visit the khandoba mandir and Samadhi mandir dwarakamai mandir.the divine lanad where shirdi sai baba spend most of his life. Afternoon divine to Aurangabad, o/n at Aurangabad

Day 05 Aurangabad-grishneshwar-aurangabad

Grishneshwar is an ancient pilgrims site revered as the abode of one of the 12 jyotirling of shiva. It is located at a distance of 11 km from daulatabad near Aurangabad in Maharashtra. Overnight at Aurangabad.

Day 06 Aurangabad-indore

Drive to indore, indore arrival by evening. Check in a hotel for overnight stay.

Day 07 Infore-omkareshwar-indore

After breakfast drive to omkareshwar located atop mandhata hill on the baknks of the narmada in Madhya Pradesh, india. It is one of the 12 revered jyothirlinga shrines of lord shiva. It is located at a distance of about 12 miles from mortakka in Madhya Pradesh. Return back to indore for overnight stay.

Day 08 Indore-ujjain

Ujjain a historic capital of central india in Madhya Pradesh is a venerated pilgrimage centre. It enshrines mahakaleshwara jyortirlinga one of the jyortirling manifestations of shiva. After darshan and we drive to the railway station to board our train to ahmedabad.

Day 09 Ahmedabad arrival

Meet and assistance on arrival at railway station in ahmedabad will be followed by transfer to hotel. Rest of the day free at leisure. o/n at ahemdabad.

Day 10 Ahmedabad-rajkot-jalaram mandir-somnath

Departing  from ahmedabad to somnath by road. En-route stopover in Rajkot. On the way visit jalaram mandir in virpur. Arrival at somnath in the evening. Chec-in at hotel for overnight stay.

Day 11 Somnath

Today we visit somnath at somnath patan, situated near veraval in gujrat it is a pilgrimage centre held in great reverence throughout india. Somnath is situated on the south coast of saurashtra. Overnight stay at somnath.

Day 12 Somnath-dwarka

Today, we dreive from somnath to Dwarka in the morning by  road. Upon arrival check in at the hotel. Nageshwar is regarded as one of the 12 jyotirlinga shrines of shiva. It is located on the route between somnath and Dwarka in Gujarat. The rudra samhita sloka refers to nageshwar with the phrase ‘daarukaavane naagesham’ o/n at Dwarka. Later proceed to the temple of nageshwar.

Day 13 Dwarka-ahmedabad

Drive to ahmedabad. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight ahmedabad.

Day 14 Ahmedabad-channai

Proceed to ahmedabad airport to board flight to channai. Assistance is availed at the airport. Later check in and relax at the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 15 Channai-madurai

Meet and arrival assistance at the railway station in Madurai is availed which is followed by drive to hotel. It is believed that the city got its name from the drops of nectar that fell from shiva’s locks when he came to bless its people for constructing a temple for him. City tour begins with a visit to sri meenakshi sundareshware temple with its towering gopurams and rare sculputures. Admire the highest point of the temple, the hall of 1000 pillars built around 1560 bc and learn about the story of the beautiful princess of Madurai and her marriage to lord shiva here. Evening brings an experience of pooja ceremony in meenakshi temple.

Day 16 Madurai-rameshwaram-madurai

Wake up to the chant of hymns at the magnificent meenakshi-sundareswara temple. Next move from Madurai to rameshwaram. Rameshwaram is one of the most significant pilgrimage centres in south india for both shaivites and vaishnavaites. It was here that rama offered thanks to shiva.

Day 17 Madurai-channai-tirupati

Today morning board the flight to channai and from Chennai drive to tirupati evening will be free for relaxation at the religious centre of india. o/n at tirupati.

Day 18 Tirupati

Visit the temple of tirupati and the adjoining temples today. Overnight at tirupati.

Day 19 Tirupati-srisalem

This is one of the greatest salivate shrines in india and it constitutes one of the 12 jyotirlingam shrines of shiva. The presiding deties here are mallikarjuna and bhramaramba.

Day 20 Srisalem-hyderabad

Drive to Hyderabad. Upon arrival transfer to the hotel. o/n at Hyderabad.

Day 21 Hyderabad-kolkata

After breakfast, transfer to airport,meet  and arrival assistance at Kolkata airport and transfer to hotel. Later visit kali mata mandir and enjoy rest of the day for free at Kolkata.

Day 22 Kolkata

Full day excursion to ganga sagar by road and then by a vessel, or by chartered luxury vessels starting from namkhana and Calcutta. Optional free day for shopping.

Day 23 Kolkata-baidhyanath

After breakfast drive or proceed by train towards varansi. Overnight in Varanasi.

Day 24 baidhyanath-vsranasi

After breakfast drive or proceed by train towards Varanasi, overnight in varanai.

Day 25 Varanasi

Enjoy boat ride at the ganges this morning and return back to the hotel. Today visit some of the holy temples of the city which encapsulates the ambiance and the spirit of the city. The durga temple, better known as the ‘monkey temple’ on account of the large number of monkeys residing there also visit the temple of vishwanath. This jyotirlingam is one of the twelve jyotirlinams of india, if time permits before returning to the hotel visit some of the silk brocade and weaving centres- a specialty of varanai. Overnight in Varanasi.

Day 26 Varanasi- delhi

Today board flight from Varanasi to delhi. Check –in hotel for overnight stay.

Day 27 Delhi-haridwar

Morning transfernto haridwar. Afternoon arrival at haridwar. At evening enjoy ganga aarti at har-ki-paudi, o/n at haridwar.

Day 28 Haridwar-guptakashi

Today our early morning drive takes us to guptaksashi. Guptakashi, the name was given to the place as it is said to be the hiding place of lord shiva when he was unwilling to give darshan to pandavs. 46 km off kedarnath, guptakashi is the shrine at a height of 1319 mts.

Day 29 Guptakashi-kedarnath

Today morning we drive to gaurikund from where we trek to kedarnath for which ponies, dandies and candies are available. Amidst the dramatic landscapes of the majestic kedarnath range stands one of the twelve “jyotirlingas” of kedarji or lord shiva. At an altitude of 3584 mts. And on the head of river mandakini, the shrine of kedarnath is amongst the holiest pilgrimages for the hindus. Overnight stay at kedarnath.

Day 30 kedarnath-Rudraprayag

Today after breakfast, we trek down back to gaurikund we drive down to rudraprayag. Rudraprayag is situated at a stop next to the confluence of alakhnanda and madakini rivers.

Day 31 Rudraprayag-rishikesh

Today we drive from rudraprayag to reach rishikesh. Visit ram jhula and laxman jhula here. Attend one of the most beautiful religious ceremonies, an evening aarti at the triveni ghat.

Day 32 Rishikesh-haridwar-delhi

Morning depart to delhi via haridwar. Arrival aat delhi. Check-in to hotel. o/n at hotel.

Day 33 Departure

Transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
