Munnar

– breathtakingly beautiful – a haven of peace and tranquility – the idyllic tourist destination in God’s own country.One of the most popular hill stations in India, Munnar is situated at the confluence of three mountain streams – Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala. Located at 1600 mts above sea level, this was once the summer resort of the erstwhile British Government in South India.

Sprawling tea plantations, picture book towns, winding lanes, trekking and holiday facilities make Munnar a unique experience. Munnar is essentially a tea town. The tea plantations have now been taken over by the Tata Tea Company. The visitor is greeted with miles and miles of unending tea plantations on entry into Munnar. Among the exotic flora found in the forests and grasslands, Munnar is home to the Neelakurinji, a flower which bathes the hills in blue hues once in twelve years. The Neelakurinji was in full bloom late 2006. Munnar also has the highest peak in South India – Anamudi – which towers over 2695 mts and is an ideal spot for campers who like to do some trekking.

Thekkady

in Kerala State , India ‘s largest wildlife sanctuary is a dream destination for any tourist visiting India . The 120 years old ‘Surki’ dam built across Peryiar, Poorna in Vedic parlance, is a major tourist attraction. This sanctuary is spread over an area of 777 Sq.Kms, surrounded by an artificial lake over an area of 25 Sq.Kms.

The Country’s sole Tiger reserve, Thekkady, with its bountiful treasures of tropical flora and fauna is the ultimate reservoir of many an endangered species and a rich tribal culture. Thekkady is a pleasant heaven on earth for those who love nature in its wild manifestations.

Thekkady is famous for the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. The Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the best places for viewing wild animals. The best time to visit animals is during the months of March, April and May. Thekkady offers facilities for Trekking, elephant riding and boating. Boating through the Placid Lake provides a rare opportunity to watch wild animals at close quarters.

Alleppey Backwaters

:- Houseboat is one of the main attractions in backwater tourism. They encompass three distinct ecosystems- tropical forests, mangroves and coral reefs, which support a staggering variety of plant and animal life, There are 36 island which are inhabited and, in order to preserve and protect the original inhabitants and the rare biodiversity and ecology of these island, many are off- limits to tourists, Foreign visitors will require a permit. Port Blair, the capital is located to the southeast of south Andaman Island, Its long coatline is made up of beaches lines with swaying palm trees. The place offers immense opportunity for nature gazing and having fun with a variety of water sports.

Day Wise Itinerary

Day 01:  Munnar

After an early morning breakfast, check out from the hotel & embark on a fascinating journey to Munnar enjoying the stunning panoramic view of the Cardamom hills & green carpets of tea plantations enroute. On arrival, check in at Hotel/ Resort. Spend the rest of the day at leisure trekking around the estate. Overnight stay at Munnar.

Day 02: Munnar

A morning sight seeing trip of Munnar; visiting the Eravikulam National Park where you can see the very rare mountain goats locally called the Nilgiri Tahr, Visit Mattupetty Dam, Kundala Dam, Echo Point, View Point & Tea Gardens. Rest of the day at leisure and enjoy another overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 3: Munnar / Thekkady

After an early breakfast, check out from the House boat & proceed to the wildlife sanctuary at Periyar/Thekkady and check in at the Hotel/Resort. Go on an evening game viewing cruise on thePeriyarLake. Here you will be able to see a large variety of wildlife, which include elephants, monkeys, deer, wild boar etc, and quite a lot of unique birds can also be spotted. Later, come back to the hotel; relax & enjoy your stay overnight

Day 4: Thekkaddy / Alleppey – AC House Boat

After breakfast proceed to Alleppey, board the houseboat. Staying in this moving palace is breathtakingly stimulating experience. While sailing down a maze of canals one sees different scenes from the villages, paddy fields, coconut palms, fisherman and local life. Day 5: Cochin

Check in the Hotel , arrive Cochin and check in at hotel.Half Day City Tour of Cochin.

Day 06: Cochin- Port Blair

After Breakfast Drive to Airport to Fly to Port Blair, On arrive at Port Blair, our representative receive you at Airport /Harbour and escorted you to checkin to the hotel/Resort. After check-in at the hotel and little relax, we start the journey with Anthropological Museum, which displays the tools, models habitats, art and handcrafts of the aboriginal tribes of Andaman & Nicobar Islands. the Cellular Jail, Chatnam Saw Mill, Forest Museum, Mini Zoo, Samdudrika (Naval Marine Museum), Gandhi Park, Fisheries museum, Science Center and water sports complex. And then proceed to Corbyn’s Cove beach. At evening, the Light and Sound Show at Cellular Jail where the saga of the freedom struggle brought alive.

DAY 7: PORT BLAIR – HAVELOCK ISLAND

Today, we start journey towards Havelock island via ferry from Port Blair. On arrival at Havelock Island, After breakfast, we proceed to Radhanagar Beach, which rated the #7 among the finest beach in Asia. It is an ideal place for swimming, sea bathing and basking on the sun kissed beach. After noon we proceed back towards Port Blair (via ferry) and overnight stay at Port Blair.

DAY 8 :- DROP TO AIRPORT

Fly back with ever lasting memories of these Emerald islands.
